Dani and Easy's story wasn't a simple one, and they had a lot of obstacles they needed to hurdle. Dani is still trying to move on from the death of her husband, Easy friend, and trying to figure out what to do with her life now. Easy is still trying his damnedest to move past the feelings he has for his friends wife, but he's finding it harder than he thought it would be. Especially when Dani starts reaching out to him, in need of a friend.
Easy stole my heart from the very moment he was introduced in Fly with Me and I absolutely adored him. In his own story he actually started to break my heart when it was clear how much he wanted Dani but couldn't have her. I just wanted him to get the Happy Ever After that he deserved. With Dani he was so attentive it was swoon worthy and I wanted to take him away from her and keep him for myself.
Their relationship is predictable, but in the best way possible. Yes, I could guess what was going to happen but that never stopped me from loving ever moment of their story. I just kept reading and was waiting to see their reactions to everything with bated breath and wide eyes. I loved that I was so involved in their story and it was just that good. Both of these characters were amazing and together they were explosive.
On Broken Wings is a story that I hope everyone will give a chance. It's the third in the Wild Aces series but could be read as a standalone. Very low angst, sweetness overload, and so much heat you'll need oven-mitts to handle this book.
