I've been dying to get my hands on Kevin (Nine) Clearwater. Seen getting a bit of him in Preppy's book. I was dying to know if Nine is like he crazy brother. But if you have read any of this series you know Preppy is like no other. Nine is brilliant this guy has been through so much just like his brother and Beat and Kings. Life has been easy and it never will be being who they are and what they do. But they make the most of it and they have each other. I luv there bond I have from the start and Nine just fits in with these guys.

Lenny/Poe is a brilliant character she is the same and has been though so much. She is lost in a way and has lost so much. Life is just hard but she get on with thinking everything will get better. But no it doesnt it goes from crazy to crazier quicker than she could think it could. But she didn't imagine what would happen. But Nine coming into her life she wasn't prepared for but it was one of the best things she could have been though she was scared to death.

Lenny and Nine are perfect together it isn't a easy relationship but come of this is a TM Frazier book when are things easy. But when these two are together there past is thrown away it does exist. They need each other more than they think. Throughout this book you see that. I would highly recommend this book the story was really good and the twists were great. It can be read as a standalone but I would recommend to read the rest of the series you won't regret it. Getting more of Preppy and the gang was so good to. That guy just keeps getting better I did have a few lol moments. I've luvd this series every book and couple there all brilliant. I don't know if this is the end but if it is it was perfect.

Parental Guidance

"A fantastically fun, HOT love story." - Kendall Ryan, New York Times bestselling author

Parental Guidance, an all-new, sexy and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Avery Flynn, is available now!

ParentalGuidance_1600.jpg

All I want is to play hockey on the Ice Knights, instead, I’m in a viral video for all the wrong reasons and my mom—yes, my mom—has taken over my dating apps. Then, when I think it can’t get any worse, the fates deliver Zara Ambrose, a five-feet-nothing redhead with more freckles than inches and who’d rather be anywhere other than on a date with me.
Now a bet with her friends and my PR nightmare have us both stuck in this go-on-five-dates-with-the-same-person hell situation. But if we band together, we can get the whole thing over with and go on with our lives. It’s perfect! No feelings. No future. No fuc— *ahem* fun. No naked fun.
What could go wrong? Nothing—as long as I remember the rules. Don’t notice the way she looks in a dress. Don’t react when she does that little shivery sigh thing whenever we touch. Don’t think about the fact that she’s never had a toe-curling orgasm that wasn’t self-delivered and just how badly I want to change that.
Five dates—that’s it—and then we go our separate ways. At least, that was the plan.

After being introduced to the Ice Knights in Tomboy I was hoping with all hope that we would get to see these guys again. So I pretty much squealed and then jumped on the chance to read this book as soon as I learned there was going to be a series for these players. And then once I got my hands on it I pretty much devoured it in one sitting. I'm not even sorry because this story was brilliant.

I loved Zara and her take-no-crap attitude. She made no apologies for who she was and never tried to conform to other people's wants. Which I thought was really fun to read about and it's a quality that I love to see in my heroines. Caleb seemed to like her sass just as much as I did and I really enjoyed that about him. These two fit so well together and they had me smiling like a crazy person on more than one occasion. They are definitely high up on the list of my favorite Avery Flynn characters.

The bottom line is, you need to read this book. It had so many adorable moments that made me happy sigh, and the characters were so easy to fall in love with. I already know I'll definitely be re-reading this book many times in the future. I made the mistake of reading the little teaser for the next book so now I'm going to be even more impatient to get my hands on some more of these hockey players.

About Avery

AveryFlynn.jpg

USA Today bestselling romance author Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip. She fell in love with romance while reading Johanna Lindsey’s Mallory books. It wasn’t long before Avery had read through all the romance offerings at her local library. Needing a romance fix, she turned to Harlequin’s four books a month home delivery service to ease the withdrawal symptoms. That worked for a short time, but it wasn’t long before the local book stores’ staff knew her by name. Avery was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.

This was shockingly a pretty sweet book which was surprising since the King series typically has some very dark undertones to it. Don't get me wrong, this book still had a lot of things that most people would consider dark, yet the characters somehow kept a lightness about them. Mostly because Kevin, aka Nine, was adorable when it came to Lenny and his interactions with her. I really liked the cuteness of the characters and how it mixed with the craziness surrounding them.

T.M Frazier always brings the crazy into her books and manages to keep me in suspense through every page, and this one was no different. We got to see some of the past characters pop up, which was amazing since it was just small little things that showed how they were doing. There was a lot going on but the fast pace of the story kept me intrigued and it never felt like too much happening at one time.

I do have to say that I'm still feeling a little iffy on the character development. I just feel like there was room for so much more fleshing out of these characters and I would have loved to see that. Nine's past, for me, could have used just a little more details, especially for the time between where he met Lenny and how he then got to where he was for the present. As for Lenny, my biggest issue was her anxiety. I don't mean this in any mean way and I know anxiety is different for every person, but it made it hard for me to connect to her when I felt like we were told she suffered from anxiety more than we were shown what that meant for her life. It was like the book started off with a lot more details of how she dealt with her anxiety and then by the middle it died down to only being mentioned that she did get anxious over certain thing. But again, never shown.

Overall, I'm so sad to see this series end but it was a really good ending. I definitely felt like we got the closure we needed for all of the King characters, though I'm sure it's not the last we'll see of them. For some this book could probably be read as a standalone with no issue, but I would recommend reading the series together to avoid spoilers or confusing scenes.

Coming Up Roses Cover Reveal

Coming Up Roses, an all-new enemies to lovers romantic comedy from Staci Hart is coming August 1st, and we have the beautiful cover!

CUR-ebook.jpg

Everyone hates parts of their job.
Maybe it’s the paperwork. Maybe it’s the day-to-day grind. Maybe it’s that client who never knows what they want, or the guy who always cooks fish in the microwave.
But not me. I love every corner of the Longbourne Flower Shop, every flower, every petal, every stem. I love the greenhouse, and I love Mrs. Bennet, my boss. I love creating, and I love being a florist. I don’t hate anything at all.
Except for Luke Bennet.
The Bennet brothers have come home to help their mom save the flower shop, and Luke is at the helm. His smile tells a tale of lust, loose and easy. He moves with the grace of a predator, feral and wild. A thing unbridled, without rules or constraint.
When he comes home to save Longbourne, I almost can’t be mad at him.
Almost.
He doesn’t remember that night I’ll never forget. That kiss, touched with whiskey and fire. It branded me like a red-hot iron. But it meant nothing to him.
Everyone hates part of their job, and I hate Luke Bennet.
Because if I don’t, I’ll fall in love with him.

About Staci

AuthorPics.jpg

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

The Starter Wife

The Starter Wife
Nina Laurin
June 11, 2019

Local police have announced that they're closing the investigation of the suspected drowning of 37-year-old painter Colleen Westcott. She disappeared on April 11, 2010, and her car was found parked near the waterfront in Cleveland two days later, but her body has never been found. The chief of police has stated that no concrete evidence of foul play has been discovered in the probe.

I close the online search window, annoyed. These articles never have enough detail. They think my husband's first wife disappeared or they think she is dead. There's a big difference.

My phone rings, jarring me away from my thoughts, and when I pick it up, it's an unknown number. The only answer to my slightly breathless hello is empty static.

When the voice does finally come, it's female, low, muffled somehow. "Where is it, Claire? What did you do with it? Tell me where it is."

A woman. A real flesh-and-blood woman on the other end of the phone. She's not just in my head.

A wave of panic spreads under my skin like ice water. It's Colleen.

The Starter Wife took me on one crazy journey, and I enjoyed every second of it. I was scratching my head in confusion and second guessing myself so many times, which I thought was brilliant. The book had me going back and forth thinking I knew everything and knew what was going on, but then I'd go back to having no clue and coming up with a bunch of different theories. It was completely captivating.

This was actually my first book from Nina Laurin but it certainly won't be my last. Any author that can write such a gripping thriller that keeps me in suspense every single page, gets me as a fan. And I'm not lying when I say every single page. Right down to the last sentence I was enthralled and still wondering what was going on. It was amazing how little was given away about the plot, and yet it was never confusing. I actually wish I could go back and read it for the first time all over again to experience that craziness some more.

The Perfect Date

The Perfect Date
Evelyn Lozada & Holly Loeincz
June 11, 2019

Angel Gomez only wants to get through nursing school and earn enough to support her mother and her son, Jose. Her bartending job helps bring in some extra cash, and the last thing she’s interested in is flirting or men in general.

Caleb “The Duke” Lewis is an up and coming star for the Yankees, known for getting around. However, his last breakup left him distracted and made him turn to drink. When he’s caught by the Yankees manager at a party instead of training, he’s suspended and sent back to the Bronx to get his head straight.

Angel and Duke’s worlds collide one night at the club and sparks fly. Though Angel wants nothing to do with Duke, he has no intention of letting her slip through his fingers. She isn’t star-struck by his fame, and this might be just what he needs to get things in order. He’ll do anything to convince her…even make her an offer she can’t refuse

I'm going to blame myself for this one since I went into The Perfect Date with the expectations of enjoying a cute and fun contemporary romance. I wasn't prepared for the drama and cattiness that I read instead and it made the book less than enjoyable for me.

I don't even feel like getting into a long rant over what I didn't like about this book, and there wasn't much that I did enjoy, but overall it just wasn't the book for me. The romance got buried under all of the drama happening and that drama is also what had me unable to connect to either character. Honestly they both seemed like jerks to me and I really didn't appreciate how the author went so hard with the whole "Every female is a bitch - other than the heroine, of course" thing. I've read it before, it seems to be a trend, but it's not one I appreciate.

Bottom line, I didn't like it but I would never tell other readers not to try a book that seems interesting to them. So if the blurb intrigues you and you're ready for some drama llamas, this may be the book for you.

Malum Part 2

Malum: Part 2 (The Elite King's Club book 5), a dark and emotional romance by Amo Jones is NOW LIVE!

Some girls don’t like pretty things.
Some girls like things that are destructive, and toxic. Things that fuel our bodies with adrenaline and bring our demons to their knees.
They say magic isn’t real, but it’s it the closest way to describe love? It doesn’t exist physically. It merely exists around us, within us, possessing our souls and making us do stupid shit. Shit like falling in love with a boy who knows how to rip my world apart and raise hell with a simple flick of his wrist. Their secrets are now mine. I’m not just in the middle of this game, I’m helping orchestrate it. Can the cries of my aching soul be enough to drown out the burning embers of my mistakes?
The mind strengthens the heart, roughing the edges to prepare it for war. This is a war I will not win. This is a war of fate.

Tillie and Nate are some messed up characters, with a messed up relationship. And I love every minute of it. It's crazy how much they captivated and frustrated me at the same time. There was so much back and forth with them in this book that had me wanted to grab them both by their throats and force them to finally sort their shit out but I loved that experience. That's how this whole series has been for me; it drives me absolutely crazy but somehow has me intrigued and enjoying the experience.

And of course there is so much going on in this story other than Nate and Tillie that's equally captivating. I'm not even going to get into any of that thought since I don't want to give anything away. Plus I feel like it's something you just have to go into blind with this series in order to truly appreciate all of the secrets. I still have not one clue where this series is actually heading, but I do know that I'll be on this insane ride until the very end.

Look, she started it.

She issued me a challenge I couldn’t back down from. Make her purr like no man has done before.

Fine, she’s my business partner’s daughter. All right, I’m also working in the same damn practice with her. Yes, she happens to be my ex-fling. But that was seven years ago, and it was barely a week-long thing.

Except, Sloane is still the one I can’t stop thinking of -- brilliant, sexy, captivating Sloane. Maybe a week of taking her to new heights will get her out of my head.

So what if we spend a few nights on the town too? So what if I romance her across Manhattan? It’s all in the name of scientific pursuit of more magnificent Os.

Until the rules change…

Lauren Blakely never fails to deliver a fun and cute romance for me. Malone and Sloane's relationship gave me just what I wanted and I loved how easy their connection was. Sometimes you just need a book that's drama free and will keep a smile on your face the whole day. That's this book! It was quirky, and yes a little cheesy at times, but it was never too much and it felt natural to these characters. Together they were adorable and it was really great to read.

Overall, if you're looking for a book that you can just sit and enjoy, and laugh with, this is the one you want to pick up. And like always, Ms. Blakely has left me needing more from the secondary characters so I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Excerpt

I meet Sloane’s gaze then go for it. Because this night has only one destination. “We should go to Tahiti.”
“Tonight?”
“Too long a flight?”
She lets go of my hand and holds up her thumb and forefinger. “Maybe a little. Not that I’m turning down a trip to Tahiti. Wait? Are you saying you want to take me to Tahiti? Because I can pack like that.”
Smiling, I slide my hand to her ass, squeezing. I whisper roughly in her ear, “I’m saying I’d like to escape with you. Like we’re getting away for the night. Let’s fuck away all this hot, wild desire.”
She exhales then goes quiet, perhaps lost in thought. “But I thought we were going to resist kissing.”
I brush the backs of my fingers along her jaw. “We already failed that test.”
She pouts. “I was supposed to be an un-vixen.”
“Didn’t work. You’re the opposite, and I want you so fucking much.” I press against her. “You have me so wound up. I’m pretty sure you’re wound up too.”
She pushes back. “You know I am. You know I want you too. That was never the issue.”
I have to get closer to her. I need to have her. “Let’s give in. Just once.” I slide my fingers into her hair, she leans her head against my palm, and I continue making my case. “I can take you places. I can make you feel extraordinary, like I’ve always wanted to.”
She hums. “You’re making it hard to say no.”
“True. I’m very hard to resist.”
A smile spreads across her face. “You are, Malone. You’re terribly, impossibly hard to resist.” She nibbles on her bottom lip. “One night. Our secret. What happens in Tahiti stays in Tahiti.”
“Absolutely,” I say as my dick high-fives me.
“And where is this alternate universe?”
I curl my fingers around her hip bone. “My place isn’t far. There’s also a hotel down the block. Either way, I intend to strip you naked, get my lips all over you, and make you feel as fucking good as you looked when you were watching me sing.”
She shudders. “I looked good when I was watching you? How so?”
I run my thumb over her hip, rubbing in slow, sensual circles. “You’re so seductive. You looked so incredibly alluring. You looked exactly as you are—the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met.” My fingers stray to her belly, gliding down the fabric of her dress toward my final destination. “And you and I have unfinished business.”
She leans her head back, and the most delicious moan ever recorded escapes her lips. When she raises her face, she tap-dances her fingers down my chest then runs them over the silk of my tie. “Are you saying we’re going to finish the business tonight?”
“Yes, and then tomorrow . . . we can be friends again.” The thought pains me, but I know this is the only way to deal with our reality.
“Exactly,” she says, nodding her agreement. “We take a trip tonight. We get away to a remote island. And tomorrow we go back to the real world?” She’s seriously considering this. Hell, I’ve already considered it six ways to Sunday in the span of ten seconds, and I say it’s a brilliant plan.
“Let me take care of you tonight. Let me spend the night worshipping your body and driving you wild with pleasure.”
“You say these things . . .”
I grin. “And?”
“And you make it impossible to walk away.” She grabs my tie and tugs my face inches from hers. “But what do you think my voice says?”
I want her to say it. The permission must come from her, and I’m dying for it. “You tell me.”
She brings her mouth to my ear and whispers, hot and sexy, “It says take me to Tahiti. Fuck me hard. Fuck me good. Fuck me senseless.”
That’s the only voice I’m listening to tonight.

Murder.

I’ve gotten away with it all, but that won’t last forever.

I’m Bryce Chandler, FBI agent and member of the Circle of Justice, a covert organization that metes out retribution to those who’ve escaped the system without punishment. For the last year I’ve been deep undercover, doing unspeakable things to secure my place in the mafia world. These days I barely recognize the man in the mirror, but Anthony Corsino is finally in my crosshairs.

He’s entrusted me with the one thing he loves most—his daughter, Layla. She was just another detail of the mission, until she was suddenly so much more. I never meant to fall for the enemy, but I couldn’t resist. I’m in too deep. My brothers are determined to get me out, but I can’t let them interfere. It’s my job to put down the target. However, when I do, I’ll lose the only woman I’ve ever loved and the only good thing left in my life. If I don’t, I’ll lose myself.

In the Crossfire is the fourth book in the Circle of Justice series but can be read as a standalone if you haven't already enjoyed the previous novels. The book follows Bryce Chandler as he goes undercover in the Corsino family in order to eliminate one of his targets. But in doing so, he also gets close to Layla and has a major change of plans.

Bryce and Layla's story was one crazy ride. I was left guessing almost the entire time and was not sure at all how it would end since there were so many possibilities. It had me captivated and unable to put it down until I got all of my answers. There was also the romance that was really amazing. I thought Bryce and Layla were great together. Layla surprised me with how well she suited Bryce and wasn't afraid of his lifestyle.

Bottom line, this is definitely a recommended read if you're looking for some suspense mixed with romance. I think it will have any reading just as enthralled as I was.

Excerpt

Rushing out of the media room, I ran through the foyer and up the stairs to Layla’s room. I knocked hard on the door and listened. There was no sound or movement that I could hear. “Layla, open the door.” Still, there was nothing. When I opened the door, her closet was open, and it’d been cleaned out, along with her dresser. “Motherfucker,” I huffed. “Layla!”
The sound of a door slammed downstairs, so I took off out of her room. How the hell could I not see her on the cameras? I ran down the stairs and out the patio door. There were a line of trees blocking my sight of the driveway, but I could see the top edge of one of the open garage doors. As I drew closer, I could see her tossing her luggage in the back of a silver SUV. She’d changed out of her green sundress from earlier into a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt.
“Where do you think you’re going?” I called out as I stepped away from the trees. Layla jerked around, eyes blazing like fire as she grabbed the gun at her waistband and pointed it straight at me. I stopped and held up my hands. “Whoa. What the hell are you doing?”
“I’m leaving. And if you try to stop me, I’ll blow off your balls.”
Glancing down at her gun, I couldn’t help but notice how perfect her stance was. She looked like she knew what she was doing. “I don’t doubt it,” I replied cautiously. “Where’d you get the gun?”
Her eyes narrowed, but she kept the gun pointed at me. “My uncle.”
Still holding my hands in the air, I slowly took a step forward. “Did he teach you how to shoot as well?”
The muscles in her jaw tightened. “Yes. Believe it or not, I’m not the helpless princess everyone thinks I am.”
“I never said you were, Layla.” I nodded at the video camera just above the garage door. “How did you get out here without me seeing you?”
She lifted her chin, her lips tilting up in an evil grin. “You’re not the only one who knows how to manipulate a camera. How else was I supposed to sneak out as a teenager?”
Now I was impressed. “Guess we all have our secrets. Can anyone see us right now?”
She shook her head. “No.” I took another step closer, and her body tensed. “Dammit, Bryce, don’t test me. I already know my father told you to stop me. No matter what he says or what you do, I am going to get out of here.”
“And go where?” I asked. “To the city to find out the answers?”
“If that’s what it takes. I’m not returning until he tells me the truth.”
There was nothing but sheer determination in her eyes. The woman was so goddamned stubborn she’d get herself killed in the process. We were only about six feet apart, with the gun still pointed at my chest. There was only one thing left to do. I wasn’t about to underestimate her.
“What if I told you what you want to know?” I said, hoping she could see the truth in my eyes.
Her lips pursed. “Why should I believe you?”
“Because you said it yourself—you’re not going to stop until you find out the answers. This is the only way to keep you safe.” It was also the way to test her. I had to know how far her loyalty went with her father. It might be what I had to do to finish my mission. Anthony would surely try to come after me, but he’d have a hell of a time trying to find me.
