He’s a fixer
and a do good-er. The all-knowing, resident "grandfather" on the
wrestling team who everyone relies on to fix their problems. His teammates go
to him for everything; advice, homework, or when they need a sober driver at
three in the morning--whether he likes it or not.
Abe’s
current mission is easy: mend his roommates broken heart by helping him find a
girlfriend on the LoveU app--without getting caught in the lie...
SKYLAR
GABRIEL. IS. OVER. IT.
Over her bad
grades. Over her meddling older brother and his two best friends. And over
dating douchebags. What she wants to know is: where have all the nice guys
gone?
She longs
for a handsome, sweet, and honest guy who can make her laugh. In one last ditch
effort to prove that he exists—Skylar turns to LoveU.
On her worst
day, Skylar has no filter (it’s a miracle she hasn’t been ditched mid-date).
On her best,
she’s as wholesome, and sweet, as pie.
On Thursday?
She matches with Abraham Davis’s roommate.
Skylar
Gabriel is falling for the wrong guy—she just doesn’t realize it yet.
Why?
The Lying Hours, is the fifth book in the How to Date a Douchebag series and takes a bit of a twist with Abe Davis as our hero. Abe isn't the douchebag that you would expect to read about based off of the previous heroes. He's actually a really sweet guy, always friendly, and will do anything his friends ask him to. Which is what leads him to making one huge asshole-y move. But it's also what brings Skylar into his life, so it can't be all that bad - right?
I loved the adorable text flirting back and forth and how adorable Abe could be. I wasn't lying when I said this boy was sweet, and it added a really fun vibe to the book. Especially when that flirting turned into a real life thing and it was someone even better. Abe and Skylar were the perfect match and they had me happy sighing, and even smiling like a loon at times, as I read.
Overall, this book gets a thumbs up from me and I definitely recommend it. All of these books can be read as standalones so if you haven't read anything from this series yet I think this is a great book to start with.
