It should have been easy.

I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death.

I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent.

The worst part is that I should have known better.

Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes.

“Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.”

Sounds familiar? That’s because it was a headline in a tabloid the second time he got arrested.

Guess what? I didn’t listen.

I signed the contract.

World tour. Three months. Four Continents. One hundred shows.

My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god.

Problem was, my soul wasn’t enough for Alex Winslow. He ended up taking my body, too.

Then he took my heart.

Then he took my all.

"I was a semi-automatic weapon, fully loaded and ready to fire. I was my own downfall, and deep down, I knew it."

I 've been dying for this book since it was announced. I love rockstar books. There nothing better than a cocky sexy alpha rockstar and Alex Winslow fit the bill to a t. He was so annoying throughout this book he was mean arrogant and thought the world owe him everything. His story was sad he was broken but would let anyone in. He was always defensive ready to attack it didn't matter who they were. Even the people he was close to got. Life wasnt easy it mite of looked that way but it wasnt. He was dealing with so much. A cheating ex with his ex best friend drugs and drink then rehab. His career was goin down the toilet he was destroying himself. So his agent got him a babysitter this is where the gorgeous Indigo “Indie”“Stardust” Bellamy came in.

"You Are The Glue. "

Indie hasn't had it easy. Her parents dyed when she was young leaving her brother to look after her. Money was never there to luxuries but she never cared. Once she had her brother Craig his girlfriend Nat and her nephew Ziggy life was good. But when a job came up that would give her and her family less money worries she has to take it. Even if it was with the bad boy rockstar Alex Winslow. It was only 3 months she could do it right.

"Alex Winslow was both an addict and an addiction."

This story was just so so good. The twists and turns in this book were just brilliant I didn't see them coming at all. Alex and Indie's story was never goin to be hearts and roses it was a fast rollercoaster. Alex was so messed up in the head that he couldn't see what he had in front of him at times. He has so much hate in him that he let it eat at him. Indie was the total opposite to him. Even while dealing with him and his attitude and everything else goin on at home. She still kept her head up and dealt with it all. Indie is such a strong woman she could deal with anything well that's what she thought. She found it hard to not get close to him. The connection was just to strong.

"“God, you’re beautiful.” And oh, was she ever. Like a painfully short, brilliant song that keeps you thirsty for more."

I m a huge fan of this author. Every book she has written as been amazing. Her work just keeps getting better and better. The characters she creates are so good it's hard to get them out of your head. And Alex and Indie are another pair to add the the list of great characters. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. I was sucked into Alex and Indie's story from the start to the end. There is nothing that I didn't like about this book. I would highly recommend it.

L.J Shen can never disappoint me, even when she's writing a character that I should hate. Alex was such a jerk and had no care about anyone else's life but his own. But L.J came in and wrote this story with such strong character development that it made me love Alex.

We're not just thrown into the middle of Alex's story, we're taken on his journey from the first time he decided for himself that he needed to change his ways. I think what made his asshole behavior even better was that he never apologized for who he was, he owned up to his shitty ways and was just like, "fuck yeah I'm an asshole and that's why you love me." Even when he was getting closer with Indie and lost some of that jerk, he was still edgy and the epitome of a Romance Bad Boy.

Indie was only an okay character for me. She came off as a little stiff in the beginning so it took awhile for me to warm up to her. I started liking her a lot more once she wasn't so reserved and we got to see who was behind that blue hair. I actually thought she and Alex made a weird but perfect couple.

The ending of the story has me a little conflicted. I loved the drama and surprise of everything that happened. As much as it shoved Alex and Indie apart, it let the readers see how strong the fight to be together in each of them was. But this was also the point where Alex's character took a big dip in my eyes and I lost a little of the respect I had for him. He worked his way back into both mine and Indie's good graces, but there was definitely a part of the book where I didn't like him at all.

Overall, the story was really good and kept me intrigued the entire time. Both characters had their ups and down on my likable scale, but in the end I loved them as a couple and loved getting to know them.
EXCERPT

Nat’s words came back and haunted me like a bad haircut from the eighties. An irrational need to check the goods took over me. It wasn’t like he minded. According to the rumors, his dick had seen more cameras than Kendall Jenner. Slowly—so painfully slowly—my eyes drifted down his sinewy body. I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Whatever I had in mind, though, didn’t come close to the real thing. Thick, long but not atrocious. With thin veins running through its length.

“Nice view?” he groaned, tucking his junk back into his briefs. His profile was glorious. Strong jaw, pouty lips, eyes like sex…

My eyes snapped up when I realized he was talking to me. “I wasn’t…”

“Looking? Yes, you were. Next time take a picture. It lasts longer.” He rolled his zipper upward and flushed the toilet with the toe of his boot. He turned around and squirted soap into his palm, washing his hands almost violently—rubbing between each finger and scratching his knuckles like he wanted to shed his own skin. When he was done, he looked around for a towel.

I cleared my throat, scrambling to regain my wits. “Longer than the glimpse or longer than your performance?”

Casually—so unbearably casually—he wiped his wet hands over my purple dress. I gasped, moving sideways. It looked like he was about to open the door and get out, but before I had the chance to yell at him for using me as a human towel, he slammed me against the wall, bracing both his arms above my head and pinning me to my spot. I let out a shriek of surprise at the sudden proximity.

Alex Winslow is touching me. Willingly, my surprisingly pitiful brain squealed.

Heat rolled off his body, making my back arch and my breath catch in my throat.

“Let’s make one thing clear—I could fuck you to a point of numbness without even breaking a sweat if I wanted to. Now, careful, New Girl. If you don’t keep your distance from me, I think I just might.”
