Just like it's predecessor Sinful Empire starts off where this author left us hanging. From there you're lured into a false sense of hope that these characters will get their HEA without anymore craziness, only for them to laugh at you while everything goes to shit.
I really liked that this book never slowed down and it kept up the pace that was throughout both previous books. So as much as I wanted to see these characters happy, watching them battle it out through everything going on in the Mount empire was what had me truly loving this book. Keria and Mount had such a crazy start that it only makes sense their ending would be just as insane.
Overall this series was an amazing one to read and I highly recommend it. The story itself is intriguing and the characters will have loving them even when you're rational brain is saying you shouldn't.
