Last Kiss

A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE FILLED WITH DARK DESIRES AND DANGEROUS SECRETS…

Emily Wayborn has made a decision.

She might not fully trust handsome and deadly Reeve Sallis, but he is the one person that gives her what she needs. With Reeve she can finally be herself. Submitting to him is the only thing keeping her grounded as the rest of her life falls apart. But the hotelier is a master at keeping secrets and as she continues her quest for answers someone is making sure she doesn’t find them.

Time is running out and she is questioning everything she thought she knew about friendship and love. She must now make an impossible choice that will determine if she will survive with her heart…or at all.

This is going to be a super hard review to write since there are so many things I want to say but can't without giving away some major spoilers. One of the things I can say, though, is how amazing the ride these characters took me on was. I was enthralled from the very beginning and even over weeks of waiting to get the conclusion I never once lost interest.

First Touch left off with me screaming "no way" and then hitting my Kindle, trying to get more of the story to magically appear. Last Kiss starts off right where that ended but still doesn't give us our answers. To get those you have to delve into the book and the even crazier world that Laurelin Paige creates. She made this story impossible to forget and I know it's one of the ones that will forever stay with me.

We got to find out more about Emily and Amber's past and how they became such close friends and also how they drifted apart. Honestly that part of the story had me just as intrigued as Reeve and Emily did. There were just so many questions that I had throughout the whole story and not all of the answers were predictable.

Reeve was somehow even sexier in the conclusion than when I first met him. He had this quietness to him, which made him mysterious and also drove me a little insane trying to figure out what was going on with him. I really enjoyed that I got so involved into his character. Even while I was questioning if he could be a killer, there was still a part of me that was in love with how hot and swoon worthy he was.

I knew one of the secrets about the ending and it actually made me a little sad that I could figure it out. But then the ending came and I was completely shocked to the point I even stopped reading, went back and re-read a few pages to make sure I had read that part correctly. I mean I was so sure I knew how the book would end, and then bam, that twist happened. I still knew the secret but I had no clue that it would turn out that way. That part right there is where I fell in love with, not only this book, but the author.

Bottom line, this series is definitely worth the read if you like mysteries that will drive you crazy at the same time making you fall in love. Last Kiss will hold you in suspense with the amount of confusion the story leads to. But by the end you'll realize you enjoyed every moment of this insane roller-coaster ride.
