Tease

Laynie

Smile when you’re happy, cry when you’re sad and don’t ever be afraid to try something new. These are the words I live by. We only get one shot at this life, and I intend to live the best one I can. I had it all growing up. Popularity, beauty, great friends and a perfect family. But then one day, it all changed – now I’m blind. I’ve never let that stop me though. Life is an adventure and I believe in making the best out of every moment.

I spend my days with a job I love, online friends and a sexy new book boyfriend every week. I know in my heart that someday, my own prince charming will come along and appreciate me for exactly who I am – I won’t settle for anything less. Meeting Tease seems like the beginning of my fairy tale … until he opens his mouth.

Tease

I don’t trust people – ever. Every single person I’ve ever loved has contributed, in one way or another, to the shit show that is my life. Keeping everyone I meet at arm’s length, I work hard at being the star of most people’s nightmares. People think I’m a monster and honestly – they’re right.

Laynie’s beauty is what caught my eye, but her personality is what held it. Laynie’s the only person to ever see past my appearance and break down the walls I’ve worked so hard to build. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her. When things heat up with a rival club, and Laynie gets caught in the crossfire, I will unleash hell on earth to protect the woman who makes me want to trust someone again. When bullets start flying and bodies start piling up, keeping her safe may be the last thing I ever do.

***Note: This book contains violence, strong language and descriptive sexual situations. It is intended for readers over the age of 18.

Charlotte

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve taken care of everyone around me, including my self-centered older sister, Anna. When her poor choices make us targets of the Devil’s Rejects Motorcycle Club, I grab her and we run like hell. A new city, a new job, a new life. It’s almost perfect – and then I meet Ryker.

He’s gorgeous, rugged and too cocky for his own damned good. But he’s a biker – exactly the type of man I’ve been running from. I have no business getting involved with a man like him. Too bad I can’t get him out of my head.

Ryker

As V.P. of the Kings of Korruption MC, I know all about violence and loss. In my world, getting involved with a woman never turns out well. Avoiding commitment isn’t something I have to work at – it’s just a way of life. Then I meet Charlotte. Drawn to her kindness and beauty, I know there’s no place for her in my world. I have to let her go.

Finding Charlotte battered and bloody late one night, I go against my own beliefs, making it my mission to protect her. The Devils are out for blood and it’s Charlotte’s they want. Maybe I can’t keep her but I will put my life on the line to keep her safe. If not, I face losing the only woman that’s ever made me feel alive.

Geri Glenn is the debut author of the Kings of Korruption MC Series. The first book, titled Ryker, is releasing on August 14, 2015, and can be read as a standalone.

Geri has been an avid reader for as long as she can remember. She can usually be found curled up in a comfy chair, reading on her iPad both day and night. Geri is an incurable night owl, and it's not uncommon for her to still be awake, reading at 4 am, just because she can't put the book down!

Geri loves all genres of fiction, but her passion is anything romantic or terrifying; basically anything that can get her heart pumping. This passion has bled out onto her laptop, and became the Kings of Korruption.

Writing this first book in the series knocked off the #1 thing on Geri's bucket list, and publishing it has been an absolute dream come true. She hopes you love the Kings as much as she does.

Perfectly Imperfect

Meet Willow and Kane in the newest stand alone by Harper Sloan!
NOW AVAILABLE on the following retailers:

*Synopsis*
Mirror, mirror ... who's the fairest of them all?
I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretending they were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn't grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all 'mean girls.'
And those mean girls were right - it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world - and I knew the answer would never be me.
The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests.
The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward.
Well, that's definitely not Willow Tate.
No. That will never be me.
Because I'm completely imperfect.
And ... I hate myself.
I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.

Willow Tate spent the majority of her life hating herself. Hating that she doesn't look perfect, that she feels useless and that her own family doesn't even want her. But when the husband she thought she deserved, the one that talked down to her and told her she was nothing, divorces her, she finally wakes up. She's not useless, she's not ugly and she certainly doesn't deserve to be treated like garbage. The day she walked out of her attorney's office a divorced woman she vowed to make a change, and nothing will stand in her way.

Movie star, Kane Masters never thought that the day he went to his attorney's office to check on a contract would be the day his life changed forever. When he saw Willow sitting there all he could do was stare at the perfect version of beauty. He wanted to talk to her, get her number, or anything from her. But she walked away and he had to let her. But he didn't give up that easily and months later he tracks her down and makes it impossible to say no to working with him. Kane see's how perfect Willow is and he's determined to make sure she knows how much she means to the world and to finally make her his.

I didn't really know what this book was about before starting it but it's by one of my go to authors so I jumped at the chance to read it. I had nothing to fear from Harper Sloan and I loved this book. I was a little nervous at first that too much focus would be put on Willow and her struggles, and then Kane would be lost in the background. But he has such a huge part of this story and I loved how he was there to help Willow along her journey.

Kane lived in the fake world of Hollywood, surrounded by fake people that all just wanted his attention and part of his fame. But even in that kind of environment he never let himself change and he still had the same caring personality that was more than a little swoon worthy. I really enjoyed his character and how patient he was with Willow and understanding about her fears.

Willow was such a strong character and I really felt for her and admired her. She didn't just have her own doubts to deal with, she had doubts that others were throwing on her. People that were supposed to love and protect her were the ones hurting her but when she gave them a big "fuck you" I was smiling so big and loved her even more. Being with Kane was so hard for her to do but she never let her fear keep her from trying and I really liked that.

I think the number one reason I like this book so much is because it's so real. It's not just a problem with self esteem that's thrown in the book to give it a little something extra. It's real and true and it was a part of the characters that was completely realistic. No sugar coating it or moving past it in a day, it focused on the real hard work a person goes through to become okay with themselves. Now with that being said, I did want a little more about how Willow was able to overcome the biggest part of her issues but they weren't just there and then gone the next day but it was kind of fast since time skipped.

Bottom line, I loved this story and couldn't put it down once I started. The characters were amazing and brought out the best in each other which was really spectacular to see, and the storyline was really realistic so there was no eye rolling from me during this one. The epilogue kind of threw out a lot of information that I wish was explained a little better but it didn't affect my rating at all. Overall, this book is just amazing.

Placing my elbows at the edge of the countertop, I collapsed on the barstool, feeling exhausted. I had never been on a date where I felt like I needed a vacation only two hours in. “What can I get ya?” the young guy behind the bar asked. “A decoy, maybe a smoke bomb.” He looked at me in confusion. “Date from hell, dude. Ever had one of those moments where you’re wondering how the fuck you got yourself in such a mess?” He chuckled and looked up over my shoulder. “Oh.” He smirked and nodded. “Marissa.” The fact he knew her name made me cringe. I had a feeling this was worse than I had initially thought. “Oh fuck, what? She’s a stalker or some freaky chick that’s gonna claim we’re engaged? I’ll spend months getting her to leave me the fuck alone, won’t I?” He handed me a beer and shook his head, chuckling to himself, then poured a shot of tequila and set it on the bar next to my beer. “You’re gonna need that.” I let my head fall to my hands and grumbled as I mentally cussed out Greyson and myself for even showing up. “Good luck, man.” I didn’t even lift my head. It was pointless; I knew he was eating this up. His laughter faded as he worked his way down the bar, serving others. “I see you don’t suffer from coulrophobia,” came a soft whisper from my right. I immediately lifted my head and was taken aback by the girl sitting at my side. How had I missed her? Oh, I know, I’d had tunnel vision as I ran from Cruella toward my next drink. “What?” I asked, yet all I could focus on was her piercing blue eyes. I had never seen eyes that blue before. “The fear of clowns,” she stated. “Coulrophobia.” I remained focused on her beauty, taking the time to look at each feature, wondering why in the hell she couldn’t have been the brunette from the coffee shop. My night would have been a whole hell of a lot better if she was in Marissa’s place. I knew I was staring, but I couldn’t stop myself. She had mentioned something about clowns, but I was lost. I had no idea what she was talking about. My gaze fell to her plump, full lips, and I smirked. No red lipstick graced them. They held only a sheer film of shiny gloss, and I loved that she preferred the more natural look. When they curved upward in a smile, I didn’t feel even the slightest bit embarrassed that she knew I was checking her out so closely. When her eyes met mine, she nudged her head toward Marissa. “I was referring to your date. She kinda resembles a clown.” I stared at her and could see she was fighting back her laughter. She lifted her drink to her lips and took a small sip before lowering it. I could no longer hold back my own smile. “I fucking hate clowns.”

Josh Phoenix, FBI agent, gets a new assignment and has to go undercover into the Russian Mafia. Wanting one last night out before he has to go deep into the Mafia, he and his best buddy gets a date and go to hang out at a club. But when his date shows up she's not the same put together woman he saw in a coffee shop, she's a loud, makeup painted on, annoyance.

The same night Gabby's sister has dragged her out to the club to let lose but she just wants to be home relaxing. When she see's Josh attempting to get away from the clingy girl by his side she's curious about him. And when he comes over near her at the bar she can't help starting a conversation with him. A conversation that leads to a kiss and then Gabby leaving without giving Josh her name. After that kiss Josh isn't letting her get away easily and tracks her down. But he's starting his assignment and relationships are hard to keep while undercover. Can Gabby and Josh make it work, especially when more dangers and secrets come out?

This was my first book by C.A Harms but it certainly won't be my last. Not only did I really enjoy her writing but I need to get the conclusion to Gabby and Josh's story as soon as possible! There was a lot of shit happening in this book and the struggle that Gabby and Josh were having trying to keep their relationship together while he wasn't around a lot was so intriguing. I really want to see them make it work but right now everything isa big mystery so I hope the second book is out soon.

I don't really want to say too much about this book and give anything away but I can say that I really liked it. There were twists thrown into the story that I so did not see coming. After the first one i was on edge the whole rest of the book because I knew anything could happen and I was both nervous and excited to see what would be thrown in next. The twists and overall craziness is what made me love the story and I think the next book will be even better.

Bottom line, everyone needs to read this book now that it's out. There was romance, intrigue, crime, and smexy times - what else could you want from a book?!?
