I'm a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella and I always wait impatiently for her new releases. No need to say that I'll read anything she writes.

Audrey is a 14 year old girl who suffers from Social Anxiety Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder and Depressive Episodes. She finds hard every sort of communication with people and that's why she goes around wearing black sunglasses so that she can avoid eye contact.
Audrey has two brothers: Frank, who is obsessed with video games, and Felix, her little brother and the only one she feel at ease with.

But where is Audrey? Will she ever be able to find the way back to her life?

This was the author's first try with the YA genre and it obviously was different from her contemporary books.

The portrait the author draws of this family was a bit over the edge, but I guess it was her purpose, in order to highlight some aspects of the story.

Audrey's mom is a stressed mom, sometimes she may appear a bit insane, but she also the one who has the reins of the family. She obviously worries all day about Audrey and take care of her-and at the same time she has to look after a four year old boy and a 15 year old teenager who spends all day playing videogames.

Her dad, on the other hand, lets his wife handle every situation and behind her back, tells the children that he is not to blame for mom's insane decisions.

This story dealt with some serious issues, as you can see from the plot.
It's Audrey's journey to a better life, where she can go out with panicking or talk to the guy she likes without running away.

If you still haven't read anything by her, you absolutely have to give her a try. Her books are the funniest books I've ever read! My favorite by her is: Can You Keep a Secret?

Overall, it was an enjoyable story, but I know that Sophie Kinsella is a guarantee for me.
